BNP Leaders Urge Voters to Support Paddy Sheaf at Khaleda Zia Memorial Meeting in Jamalpur

Leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have called on people to vote for the party’s sheaf of paddy symbol in the upcoming national election, urging citizens to ensure democratic change through the ballot.
The call was made during a condolence meeting held in memory of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Ghasirpara area of Bakshiganj upazila in Jamalpur district.
Condolence Meeting and Tribute
The meeting was organized to honor the memory of Begum Khaleda Zia and to recall her long political career and contributions to Bangladesh’s democratic movements. A large number of BNP leaders, activists, and supporters attended the program.
The event began with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Khaleda Zia.
Prince Jahid Addresses the Gathering
During the meeting, BNP leader Prince Jahid addressed the audience and highlighted Khaleda Zia’s role as a former prime minister and a key figure in the struggle for democracy.
He said Khaleda Zia’s leadership, sacrifice, and commitment to democratic values would always be remembered by the nation. Prince Jahid urged people to actively participate in the upcoming election and to cast their votes in favor of the paddy sheaf, the electoral symbol of the BNP.
He emphasized that the power of democracy lies with the people and that voting is the most effective way to express public opinion.
Call for Unity and Peaceful Politics
Prince Jahid also called on party leaders and activists to remain united, disciplined, and peaceful in their political activities. He said grassroots engagement and public trust are essential for strengthening democratic institutions.
Other BNP leaders who spoke at the meeting echoed similar views, stressing the importance of protecting democratic rights, freedom of expression, and social justice.
